How to create corrugated sheet horizontal profile with translucent corrugated parts within it?

Please look at the screenshot. There are translucent corrugated part inbetween the horizontal corrugated sheet. Please suggest most effective way to do this.

Can you SEO it? SEO w/ Intersection your transparent part, then SEO w/ Substraction the intersection from the original. OR does the accessory create uneditable objects?

I had used the "profiled sheet" from library, and it has already made the model heavy to work around. And adding so many translucent parts for SEO would make the model quite heavy. So I was wondering some other efficient way to do it?
