Double check that the imported object symbol actually relates to the object in 3D. Place a slab directly under the object in question and then do the marquee.
Sometimes imported objects - especially those from the "Y axis is vertical" world - displace their symbols when rotated for ArchiCAD.

I'm creating some 3d objects in other programs (wings, blender) and when I'm importing it through 3ds import plugin sometimes (not always) I get strange problem. Whenever I use marquee to see selected region in 3d (crossing or no that object ) I don't see it. If I don't use marquee or if I select that object I see that object properly. Any thoughts ?
Does it happen only when the object is cut by the marquee or even if it is within the marquee?

This is happening if marquee is crossing object AND if object is inside marquee.
