Infill Screen.lib - Problems

Hi there;

I recently downloaded Infill Screen.PLA from Objects Online.
I'm attempting to use the Infill Screen object to create chain link fence models for a parking garage.

I am able to put together a pretty good fence, after inputting lots of parameters; the problem is, when I exit and restart AC, the part shows up as a fuzzy dot on the plan, and can't be found by Library Manager. When I direct Library Manager to the part, I have to start all over again inputting all the many parameters.

Needless to say this is getting frustrating.

Anyone else have this problem?

Much thanks in advance.

now if I can remember where I put that 8.1 Cd

Just "open object" and "save as". If you are working with AC9 (have a look at your signature) you can use AC9 too.

Ah - I understand. I'll give it a try.
Thanks F...

I have not kept up with Archicad talk for quite a while, and just happened to come upon this thread when I was looking for something else. Sorry about the slow response - (you had the problem back in January).

I have just tried to reproduce the problem but it works OK for me even though the object was made back in AC6 an I am now using AC9 and have not updated/resaved the object in the current version.

I think your problem might stem from the fact that this object uses calls for macro objects, and you have to be careful to place the macro objects in the same library along with the main object. Missing macros would generate the error message you are getting.

The macro objects should have been generated in the library that was created when you opened the PLA. If you have misplaced them through library reorganisation (easy to do) I can send them to you again.
