Issue with OSX 10.3.3 and server llibraries

Hello to all Mac users running 10.3.3 with libraries located on remote machines. Just ignore, those who are running Windows as I am sure you are unaffected.

I am attaching a picture of the before and after of the Library Manager window.

I, last week, installed the 10.3.3 update of OS X. Then I went to work on a new project. I opened a new file. Then went to attach our office library standards from our server. I found that I could see the server, but cannot open the arrow to see the directories to add the specific directory where our parts are.

I can run projects which have the libraries already attached. They load fine. I cannot add any additional libraries to projects. I am having to have others add the libraries for me, save and close the file, so I can work on them.

Is there anyone else having the same problem. I thought this might be an existing file problem. So I did a New & Reset. Nothing has changed. Should I trash my preference file?

ah. not the same problem as mine.

what permissions do you have on your applications folder? see screenshot and see if it's anything like mine.

also: i take it you've re-launched archiCAD?

Ben

I am back to seeing the contents of the Applications folder.

Here is what I did to get it working.

1. I created a new folder called Temp Apps. I moved the entire contents of the Applications folder to this folder after making sure all the applications had been quit.

2. I moved the Applications folder to the Trash. (did not emtpy the Trash, you need Admin access to do this as this folder is part of the system)

3. Changed the name of the Temp Apps folder to Applications.

4. I restarted and did a PRAM reset by holding the Option, Command, P and R keys at the same time for a rechiming of three sets. (remember C.R.O.P)

5. I then started ArchiCAD and opened a new project. I opened from a Template to get the NEW & RESET verison. (pulsing button now reads NEW & RESET)

After doing all these, I am now seeing the contents of my Applications folder and all the sub directories.

what permissions do you have on your applications folder? see screenshot and see if it's anything like mine.
My settings are the same as yours with the Everybody having Read & Write permissions.

Try my method out by creating a new folder where the one which is giving you a problem.

Still waiting for GS to chime in on this problem.

If you want another library, say of casework from Cabinet Builder, you need to load it via the Library Manager. But these additional libraries for our office are on a remote machine. I have not been able to add these libraries since upgrading to 10.3.3.

Is anyone else seeing the same problem in the same way. Not via the Finder, but through ArchiCAD?

If it's any consolation I am having the same problem I can sometimes get to the Library that I need from the "History" tab but not in every case.

What I have found is that you can browse to an alias of the Library on a remote server by using the path to my user Home directory eg.
