In the materials library, each material has an index number. I'm assuming each wall, slab, etc searches for it's assigned material by index number. I'd like to substitute one material for another by changing the index no instead of going through the whole process of selecting the wall, etc, and then changing the material.
I had downloaded a process to do that some time ago from ArchLink, but while that process does work, can one simply change the index no. somehow. Seems like it would be so much easier.
Or is there a way to change the index number in the wall, slab, etc. that the wall, slab, etc. is looking for when applying the material.
