Hello,
We're experiencing an issue with doors and libraries not loading correctly in Archicad 27 after migrating a project from Archicad 26.
We've tried copying and pasting from the Archicad 26 file, migrating libraries, inserting objects, and reloading all relevant libraries correctly - but nothing has resolved the issue. Everything works fine in Archicad 26, but in Archicad 27 the doors and associated libraries will not load (I can copy into a new plain file).
Could this be a bug, or is there a known solution?

Hmm, this is strange.
They are all doors and windows from versions 24, 25 & 26 - which is fine.
Having the migration libraries loaded, these should migrate to 27 objects.
I notice you have a library loaded called 'built-in library parts'.
You don't need this as Archicad automatically loads that file anyway from the current version program folder.
Delete it and re-load and see what happens.
If they are still missing, I can't think why.
Barry.

You are using the same language version for the 26 & 27 libraries?
Different language version objects are not compatible.
Otherwise there should be no issue, especially if you are loading the migration libraries together with the 27 library.

Hi Barry,
We are using the same language versions and updated both 26 and 27 to most recent updates.
It only happens with this one file?
Thanks for your reply as well.

So the Library Manager shows a "missing" library and warnings of "missing" objects?
Can you show a screen shot of that dialogue?
Barry.

Hi Barry,
No libraries show as missing but library parts do (I tried reloading all libraries plus I also tried adding others and copy and pasting (not captured in screen shot)).

Libraries seems OK.
Can you expand some of the warnings to see if any of the windows are missing?
There may be a clue in there.
I am wondering if they are in the 'unsupported' group.
Barry.

Hi Barry,
You are correct, they are under 'Missing Library Parts' under 'Archicad 27 Library'. However - How do I resolve this? I have tried reloading that library many times but it doesn't update.

Given that there is only 1 instance of each object missing, might they be from favourites? Or did that come up as a different warning? If they are actual placed objects, I find it odd that there were not migrated each version...

Even favourites should migrate.
And in the warnings, it will say "missing from favourites".
The question is, why are they missing from the 27 library?
I just made a version 22 file with a door and window and then opened that in 27.
Swapped the library to 27 and they were missing from the 22 library, not the 27 library.
I load the migration libraries and all is good, nothing missing any more.
The fact that Peggiee has the migration libraries loaded but the objects are missing from the 27 library, makes me think it is a different language version of the 27 library that is loaded.
But surely then the migration libraries wouldn't work either (as they seem to be doing), as they would be the wrong language as well.
So it can't be that.
Can you place a new door or window or are they missing from the door and window tools as well?
Maybe the objects are actually missing completely from the library?
Barry.
