You would probably have to change the GDL parameters of the part right? So you could place it, select it, go to File>GDL Objects>Open Object...
change the parameters, and save it.

I would take caution though, because it may alter all exisitng occurences of the object (someone beter at GDL could probably confirm that), and you may have to recompress your library into a PLA again.

I think creating a favorite of it would be an easier way to go though!

Cheers,

I think there is a better way

Use Preference Button to save and call your settings.

thank you for your help. The problem is I can not find where the default setting is located after I open this GDL object.

thanks

The parameters you want to change are under Structural Dimensions in the parameter list.
See the attached screenshot.
Change one of the parameters in the Moldings and Panels Settings panel of the Dialog and see which one changes from among the ones under Structural Dimensions
They are actually the same parameter that can be modified from two different places.

Then go to the Library Editor, open this Object. The marked parameters are the ones you want to change.

If you change default values of parameters, it will not affect the behaviour of already placed instances of these library parts. It will apply only to new instances placed using these default values.

And, if you use Laci's suggestion, be sure that you save the part with a NEW name (perhaps a suffix or prefix with your or your firm's initials) in a company library. (You cannot save modified parts back into a PLA.) Then, select that newly named object in the future.
