Object tool locked

A strange problem. My object tool in AC23 toolbox won't allow me to select anything other than a flue object I chose earlier. Can't access any of the tools in my extra libraries such as those from the Ci Essential Library. Yet, when I select a window, door, cabinets, etc etc from AC23 toolbox it gives me the usual access to these additional libraries. So it must be loaded correctly. I've placed a call to Ci Help desk and another this morning but they are probably too busy. Hence this note to users.

Thank you Ling. That is very subtle, Isn't it! How did you find it? I don't remember that being there in older versions of AC because it always worked as expected.

It has been there quite a while.
I just opened 18 and it was there too.

It is one of those frustrating settings, that because you would hardly ever use it, when you do accidentally switch it off, you have no idea how to switch it back on.
And being so small an icon doesn't help either.

I just noticed it in your screenshot, and I suspect I may have run into this issue before too. Given there is no other way to change your selected object, excluding favourites, this collapse feature seems rather pointless...
