Thank You - its awesome.. but a "little" too sophisticated for me to use it in my simple scripts with my simple mind..

There IS a way to make a square draped cable without code, but for you, recent master of the GDL archway-thingy object, you will probably prefer to use code.
Of course, for this solution, you use the complex profile and the wall tool, like always. And all words come from the Greek, including 'kimono'.
-- Draw a section between the support points.
-- In the section, draw the cable drape. Duplicate the curve and offset it to the cable width.
-- Derive a fill from this and send it to the Complex Profile fill editor.
-- Draw a complex profile wall across rather than along the span to the cable width.
