Simple Box with Text?

Trying to hack together a simple box with 2 editable digits in it.
I'm sure it will be obvious from attached images that I haven't a clue, but I'm trying anyway.
I created it at project zero.
I've opened the gdl guide listed in the help menu of 14 and have searched through it, but if it's obvious what I should be trying, I'm still missing it.
So it would be nice if someone could at least point me to a relevant page/example, I'd much appreciate it.
The box does not need to rotate, just have easy edibility of just two digits.

Is there a reason that you are trying to use RICH TEXT for such a simple object? It would be far easier for you to define a style and just use the TEXT2 command.
