Does anyone have a method for selecting just a portion of an image for use in a PICT command in the UI script?
I can do something along the lines of what I am looking for with the UI_INFIELD{3} command where it is possible to specify an image name, the number of rows and cells contained in the image and then specify which cell(s) you want to show. Unfortunately there does not appear to be a way to dispaly just the image without the associated parameters.
If someone has a method to do this I would love to learn it.
Thanks.
Erich

Hi Erich,
Unfortunately, there is no way to do that in GDL now. Not even in v15. It's a good idea though - it's worth considering for a later version of ArchiCAD.
Right now, you should slice up your UI pictures wisely and make them 'built-in' into the library part which is using them. This trick will reduce the amount of elements in your library and reduce loading time. You can read about the technique in section5.2 Handling built-in images of the documentation of the LP_XMLConverter tool (available from http://www.graphisoft.com/support/developer/documentation/ ).

That's what I thought but it was worth asking. Thanks for the pointer.
