Use Layers to Prevent Intersections - a defect Exception for Level 0

Hello Graphisoft,

after I switched to ArchiCAD 27 - CZE I found that exception for Level 0 does not work in Sections. I solved the same problem in ArchiCAD 23 - an update helped. In ArchiCADs 24-26 there was not such a problem with it.

When is the new update of  ArchiCAD 27 - CZE planned? Will the defect be fixed?

Thank you for your answer in advance and have a nice day.

Best regards

Radim

I have installed ArchiCAD 28 today. and I must say, I am very surprised - actually disappointed that the problem still persists.

I understood this is a new direction of Archicad, that unfortunately doesn't match my needs.

Do you have any recommendations for switching to another CAD software?

Thank you for your suggestions and have a nice day.

Best regards

Radim

Can you modify the GDL Script?

You could modify it so those geometries do not touch, but there is a very small gap between them, like 0.1 mm. Then those lines will be generated because Archicad will sense they are not touching. However, the gap will be small enough not to cause any issues in visualization or dimensioning.

Hi Laszlo, thank you for your solution.

I understand, I have to work imprecisely for ArchiCAD to display correctly.

I disagree internally, but it is probably the only "systemic" functional solution.

Thank you Laszlo and have a nice day.

If it's possible to modify the GDL script, then one option is to script a simple plane (eg. with PLANE command) where the joint is. Plane will also be visible on the surface though (eg. in elevations). Not ideal option either, but maybe better than a small gap.

Hi Vlahtinen, thank you too for your solution. That is also a possibility.

However, my solution is that - I am working on version 26. I have uninstalled version 27. I tried version 28, but I don't use it.

And ... I'm happy. (?)
