Wall Accessories - plinth

This is the second topic I’ve opened in the last 2 years and still no answer, so let’s try again.

I’m trying to achieve schedules that take off quantities of plinths.
I want to use plinths from Wall Accessories, because they are easy to adapt after any design review. Also, when you place a door, it’s nice that the plinth path is automatically cut out.

Unfortunately, I can’t get the linear metres of plinth in the schedule.Has anyone found a solution for this?

For me It seems Archicad has abandoned Wall Accessories, but for this case it was the best method to have plinths in the project and keep them adaptive over design changes. 😄

Also the filed wall_lenght isn't a sollutions because you have doors and the quantities doesn't care about your doors.

Hi,

You may try to either:

- schedule the conditional wall length on inside and outside faces. This shouldn’t factor in the door openings so it should coincide with plinth length (but I am not sure how it behaves in wall intersections)

a visual guide to this: https://help.graphisoft.com/AC/23/int/_AC23_Help/060_ElementParameters/060_ElementParameters-29.htm

- you can try and define a custom expression in the classifications that would subtract the total door widths from the zone perimeter (assuming you are also using zones for your takeoffs)

 https://help.graphisoft.com/AC/20/INT/AC20Help/03_2_Views_Virtual_Building/03_2_Views_Virtual_Buildi...

basically go to property manager, make a new property. Set the data type as length, then select expression. There you can just use autotext to have

Zone Net Perimeter - Doors Width

hit ok and you could schedule this new property of zones.

hope this helps.

Hi Cosmin, thank you for your replay.
Your solution  my be a good idea if you have only one type of plinths. But if you have metal plinth, pvc plinth, Wood plinth then i don t think is a good ideea.

Also, i can use total perimetre zones minus door width BUT  i dont want to. All i want from Archicad developers is to stop making useless new functions version by version and maybe start making a plinth or ceiling Button :).

thank you!
