Window frame incomplete in 2D

Can anyone please explain why the back face of the window frame that abuts the wall disappears but it doesn't on doors?

I believe it is the gs_frame_[side]_endline boolean parameters which are hidden as far as I know, and are set to 0 unless you have a frame tolerance set for that side...
