Can someone explain to me (i searched) how to create windows in Archicad? I see many different window styles you can select from the library, but I cannot find a way to make a simple change where I want to make one window with one sash casement and next to it fixed. This must be very simple, but it is not. I use Cadimage for this reason, but I am sure there is a way to do it from Archicad natively without an addon.
I see a lot of tutorials online, but none of them explain how to make a simple window with different openings for the sashes. I use the SOLO USA version, and there is no basic window in it.

Here I downloaded version 29 SOLO same thing. No option for assign sashes individually. Any idea how to solve this?

I am just assuming that the US libpack is similar to the previous monolithic contents. The US libpack is just the first time I have had access to their doors and windows.
@INTEXHOMES, since you are in AC28, can you use Basic Window instead of the US specific Casement Window?
Also, is there a reason you are loading both the monolithic library and the libpacks? Though did not the the libpacks require that they be loaded directly, not by their containing folder?

My libraries are loaded by default. I haven't loaded anything specifically for any reason. I don't have the "basic Windows" folder in the dropdown. How do I get it for my libraries?

Probably because that is a 'casement' window, you can only have casements sashes.
You should see a section for "INT" windows.
Have a look in there for double or triple windows.
They should have separate sach options.

In your Library manager, press the ADD button.
I see 'Doors and Windows.libpack' plus extra language specific library packs - including USA.
As you are in the USA you may see a 'Doors and Windows INT.libpack' ? - I am not really sure.
Basically you just need to load the library packs that you want to use.

Yes, if I install INT libraries, i get basic Windows and sash options working. If I install USA libraries, then basic windows are not available, and the sash options as well. That's a weird glitch. Also, if I add INT libraries, it creates a lot of duplicates. So I need to use either the native USA version that doesn't have basic Windows, or I have to use the INT version and delete the USA libraries altogether. That's no good.

I will try this.

Hi @INTEXHOMES,
Just as a side note, you shouldn’t be loading both the Monolithic Libraies and libpak Libraries in to the same project. This can cause compatibility conflicts. See article below.
If you want or need any help understanding this just reply here or drop a DM. There’s loads of people here who will help too.

There shouldn't be any duplicates if you are just loading the library packs.
Don't load the library packs and the old monolithic libraries at the same time (includes migration libraries).
And when you load the library packs, don't load the 'Archicad Library Packages' folder.
You need to go into that folder and load each of the actual packs.
The old monolith libraries and the new global library packs are totally different systems, but essential contain the same objects.
And they are not compatible with each other - you can not migrate from one to the other.

My basic windows showed up, but i cannot unload AC28 libraries or migration because I use template that have lots of pre configured componets in it. What happen if I contune with all those duplicates for this project and modify libraries set for the next project? I got the idea with the windows. It's sad that USA version doesn't have it. It should be added to it, because otherwise all the windows are unusable out of the box.
