i have modeled using slabs a nice clean fire house door.
I want to save it as an object and bring into into an exisiting project.
Then rotate it, so it is standing up.

I have made it and saved it.
Now i need to get my head around exporting it as an object file and bringing it back in.

Im kinda loos now
Help me please.
Thanks.

actually i was just reading a little about the above design and the graphisoft website says this design was made in 2009, way before 2011s archicad 15 with SHELL TOOL?

How the hell was this form possible without the shell tool ?

Ian
Fron the looks of it the main forms can be made with profiles and the end cuts with SEOs.

ok so to create this.

1. create on plan the profile for the shell 360 extrude.
2. extrude with shell tool.
3. pick node on the newly extruded object and rotate 90 degrees, so the object is in the correct position.
4. create on plan the cut out shape and use SOE (solid object editing) to subtract the new part from the original 360 object.
5. Then bank, your done.

still working on how to full walls into this new shell shape and fit in windows and doors.
normal walls wont fit in correctly and follow the inside wall curves. so the only idea is a object self created.
But then the challenge is, inserting walls and windows into an object ??
that is the next challenge ?
