I believe this started after a Ventura update, or maybe AC26 update. CodeMeter no longer starts up automatically at computer start up. The preference pane shows "start services" so I unlock it, start services, lock it back, but it does not restart on computer restart. I've never had this issue in 30 years. If I add CodeMeter to the start on log-in items I get a message saying no CodeMeter License available. Any suggestions?

I downloaded CodeMeter from the link above, and it is an older version, so maybe that's it.. 7.40.4990.
Rick, let's try to install the latest version of CodeMeter User Runtime for macOS from the official page:

I can start services, lock the Lock, restart and it opens unlocked.
Your current runtime version may not be compatible with macOS Ventura.
But I'm really suspicious why the system settings are unlocked by default. It's not proper behaviour.

Hi Rick!
Could you please try uninstalling and installing again the CodeMeter driver?
Download link: CodeMeter 7.40
Let me know if it worked.

I uninstalled and reinstalled, but no change. However, I decided yesterday to go ahead and get a new computer (M2 vs intell now) so will be starting fresh. One would think that should do it 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion

Hey Daniel.. the new computer did not fix CodeMeter not auto starting. I did not do a clean from scratch install. That would be a potential nightmare with all my plan and the external files. Last time I did that I had to relink every single one (400+)
I was assuming the Silicon install would replace CodeMeter, but it still says "intel". Is there a Silicon version? I will reinstall via the earlier link if that is the right one now. I don't see any "uninstall" associated with CodeMeter? Maybe it will be in the new downloaded file?
It's weird that when I restart the computer, the System Settings panel for CodeMeter opens unlocked. I leave it locked.
Thanks

Hi Rick,
Wibu has not yet released Apple Silicon native CodeMeter driver yet unfortunately, so it is using Rosetta still. They have not announced released that yet, but it is on their roadmap.

Actually CodeMeter Runtime supports Apple Silicon (arm64) since version 7.20 released in 2021 (January 12, 2021 to be exact).
So CodeMeter Runtime 7.40, which you suggested to install, certainly supports Apple Silicon machines.
How to check if CodeMeter Runtime supports Apple Silicon (arm64) processors (actually SoC, System on a chip😞
Open Terminal and type the following command:
file /Applications/CodeMeter.app/Contents/MacOS/CodeMeterMacX
You should get:
/Applications/CodeMeter.app/Contents/MacOS/CodeMeterMacX:
If you see 'arm64', then your CodeMeter driver supports Apple Silicon natively.

Yes, I did get arm64. It seems I am not the only person having this issue, so hopefully Graphisoft will fix this. Hopefully they will accept this as an AC issue and not as they said, a Rosetta issue.

Another weird behavior is Codemeter opens unlocked and I leaved it locked. Even after another uninstall and reinstall same behavior needing to manually start services.

What exactly do you mean by 'Unlocked'?
When and where do you see the locked state? In the CodeMeter Control Center?

Which version of CodeMeter Runtime do you have?
The current version (Nov, 2023) is 7.60d.
