Plot Floor Plan Without Roof

Hi~

I am a teacher using ArchiCad 11 for the PC in my High School Architecture Classes. I am currently having trouble getting ArchiCad to plot a floorplan without plotting the lines for the roof.

Could someone shed some light on the how to "turn off a layer" for plotting. Forgive me if that is not the correct term; we switched from AutoCad Architecture.

I have tried turning off the A-Roof Layer in the layout book, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

It should be turned off in the layer combination assigned to the View that you have placed on your layout. Layers in layouts change only items in the layout itself, not in the placed views (Viewports in the old language).

The roof should also be on a storey of its own.

Thumbrule:

Each plan that you need is a separate storey. The stuff that should show on a plan is on the corresponding storey.

Things can be seen above and below the home storey, for correct documentation. Roofs, slabs, meshes, etc.
