AC9 and 8.1 are more powerful (an more complex) withh respect to Display options. See. 2 below
1. not sure what to suggest. If there are cutplanes declared in the script of the object, it appears that these are affected in 9. See discussion about 3D people with no abdomens when marquee is on.
2. Check your
Display Preferences
under the
Display Only
options to make sure that Section Depth is turned on to "Show". There is also an override setting for this item in the
Options for Display and Output
section. Check which value is set in your model, OR, in the Display Option combination you have selected. Display options can be set differently depnding on what you want to see in a particular view.
