2d trace from google earth

Not applicable
Hi Guys,

Apologies if this is a noob question but I've had no luck searching for exactly how to do this.

Basically I have a survey plan that is not geolocated. I want to lay google earth imagery over the top and trace it to add details.

The problem is when I import the google earth imagery to archicad, I can't get the location and scale quite right as I don't know the exact lat/longs of the survey plan.

Any ideas how to accomplish this?

Regards,

Jon

You will need to have something to "align" to which is on both your survey and the google imagery. I have found that even when I have the correct lat./long. it is still quite hard to get a perfect alignment.
