3D modeling view

Dear Archicad users! I am new here so I hope my question is not to basic. I found great example online of the project that has great top view - of arcades. One part is groundfloor and another is with arcades... I would attach the example. If someone can explain wheter is possible to make this kind of view in archicad. - especially of arcades on the picture.

ok -- so i fell short on that View 1 workaround earlier...
try this:

add a horizontal 3D cutaway plane (best to do it in section)

open it in 3D, click on the button called "Look to Perpendicular of Clicked Surface". click any part of the flat floor.

in this mode, when you Pan in 3D mode, (click + hold of the middle mouse button) the view is locked in, perpendicular to the slab. save the view and/or create a 3D document so you can have more settings for this 3D view.

i'm not sure if we're looking at one building, but i think i get the idea & it looks easy enough.

both drawings can be done with 2 Saved Views. you'll obviously have to model the building first.

  1. top one can be done with the Top view Axonometry with the "Look to Perpendicular of Clicked Surface". also using a Graphic Override that turns everything to Grey.
  2. ground floor is just a simple ground floor with graphic overrides.

ensure that both views have the same scale, otherwise manually resizing view 1 might become tricky.

when you place them in your Layout, it's a matter of stitching them together. place view one first in the drawing, & create a hole for view 2. place view 2 in that opening.

Hi Gerry! Thank you for your response! Ground floor and "stiching them together" shoudn't be the problem.

But to create "first view", it certainly is. I tried to get this 3D effect of the top view using Top view Axonometry and the "look to perpendicular of clicked surface".

The closest I could get is to put z axis 30 or 40° and thats what I get (see top2 pic)

Otherwise I don't see the arcades.... only top view and no 3D affect. If you know what I mean. Here some screenshoots I took.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Gerry! Thank you for your help. It actually worked. I had a problem with multiple surfaces and buildngs so I copied the arcades and one slab into a new archcad file and it worked perfectly. Thank you once again for your help!
