A Clue on Window Weirdness

Me again... I have determined at least one origin of the very weird window trim extensions, and am wondering a) if anyone else experiences this and b) if anyone has a way out. The windows were FINE until I SEO'd the wall they are in with the roof. Then, they instantly got goppered up. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thank you!

The year-later follow-up...any news, any clues? This is a bug, huh?
I find that I often need to SEO a wall with a ganged window, not just to roofs always, but to other objects as well, and this bug is a source of feeling bugged.
