Hi,
AC17 is great really, But it's really annoying, In 3D view when I move object (form, wall, slab...) in heigt AC auto change the level assignment. And it is not a good thing !!!

Is there a way to disable this auto-function?

Um, guys? This issue hasn't gone away. It's not just a once-a-day nuisance. During the sketch design process it's a minute-by-minute nuisance.

A hotfix was promised over a month ago. Too late for that now. But even a warmfix would be nice.

I don't think that there were any definite date or time interval mentioned by anyone from Graphisoft about when the next Hotfix would come.
I just mean to say: no-one promised a hotfix within a month or so.

Still, as many others I too hope the hotfix will come soon so this issue is resolved.

And will this hotfix fix the problem with favorites??!! This is a huge problem, trying to change all our favorites (biggest headache of version to version) especially bow given all the changes in this version. But to discover that the home story does not save with the favorites and seems to change on its own from project to project is a big problem! Our favorites are all over the place as far as what home story is, when in the template file itself, when you select a favorite, it may say that its home story is current +1, but when you place it it is actually on the current story. But when you load those favorites into another file, where story settings may have changed, the home story is different.

So for example, in our template file, we have a basic slab favorite, and for whatever reasons, when you select it in favorites, it says its home story is current -1 which in this case would be story -1. But when you actually go to place it it is on the current story (story 1) But when loaded into another file, the favorite when selected still says current -1 but when you place it it's on current +1. And it doesn't seem like there's any rhyme or reason.

In my opinion, in favorites, the home story should always be current, by default. I don't see why you would ever want to change that, but if you do make changing it something that takes steps to do not putting it back on the current story where it belongs.

I'm still not clear whether this fix will include reverting to the prior ability to changes elements' story setting in 3D without them changing elevation. Please say yes! This one is huge for me.

After fighting with this condition and continuing to try to find settings that can make some sense and reduce the non-billing time I am running up in the process - This topic jumped out the other day. Thank all of you that have spoken, written and cussed this "Improvement". In the end it will likely be an improvement, but for now it is just frustrating. My mistake was in thinking that I could bring a previous AC15 plan forward to make revisions --BIG ERROR. There will have to be some education in order to get the process to work. I wish that there was a magic solution, but figure that it just will take a whole lot more time.

It's fixed from my point of view. Did you look at the link I posted earlier? Go there and scroll down to the "Solution" heading to see what they decided to do about it. Basically you DON'T want to be using the "by elevation" setting.

Moving things around seems to be fixed, it stays on the original story. The problem that still exists is when placing objects. You first have to tell archicad what story you want it on instead of making the assumption that you would like to put it on the current story. Seems like a pretty safe assumption to me.
