AC27 - MEP pipes in section views are missing

I modeled sewage pipes in plan view inside Archicad layer. everything looks good 🙂
PLAN VIEW. Pipes are visible.

3D view. Pipes are visible.

Made section and cannot find pipes. Show all layers also not helping. Added pipes to layer with different priority from slab element. Looks like slab is cutting out pipes totaly from section view, but I cannot find how to avoid that. Am I doing something wrong with AC27    ? ? ?

Could be that MEP pipes are being cut out with slab elements, no way to control how and why it cuts pipes.

Try placing an Opening into the Slab where the pipes go so the Opening would cut the space of the Pipe from the Slab. Then they should be visible in Section.

Placed opening in part where section is but still its empty.

Made opening in whole part where pipes are and then it appreaded very slightly, hard to see if you not select it.

@Laszlo Nagy  do you think we need to place openings all around all pipes in project. This is how it should be modeled MEP in AC27 ?

Well, these new MEP elements are hierarchical elements composed of Library Parts. Library Parts by default do not participate in Intersection Priority-based Connections  so they do not cut themselves out of other elements like Slabs when they intersect in 3D. Also, many of them are hollow so they either do not have a solid body or the solid body is very thin (the thickness of their structure and maybe the thickness of insulation, if there is any). And if they do not have a solid body, they cannot be used as operators in Solid Element Operations. So when they are situated within other structures like a Slab, I would say it is necessary to cut the space needed by them.

I guess this can be achieved by the Opening tool in some element types, or by Morph elements subtracted from those structural elements.

This seem to be related to the pipes cut line not showing correctly (or at all). If you set 'uniform cut pens' in the section setting then it will show correctly. I have not been able to find away to control the cut pen in the MEP route selection setting - it is missing from floor plan and section tab where it should be under cut surfaces. I don´t even want to think about how this issue came to be....

I'm just trying out the new V27 pipe tools.  This is still an issue, and is clearly a bug in the software.  Needs to be fixed. These elements really need to be visible in sections...that's half of their value to us in doing coordination.

...and having to make all cut lines uniform is not a good solution.  It detracts from the illustrative quality of sections.
