AC9 Trouble with shift key selection

If I try to select several items with shift key, than it doesn't work (this funcktion needs sudenly very much power...)
Can somebody help me?

In Windows: try turning off CAPS LOCK on your keyboard.

This is a good way of going insane until you discover the trick...

Hi,
I have now solution.
The trouble is because of CPU.
After reinstallation CPU is too much loaded, so that no power more !!
I switched off several starting programm, after this action it goes.

Now I know, to select many objects with shift-key needs many CPU power.
