I'm new to archicad (4 weeks) any rate here is the question. How do you make a beam and/or column that is not vertical. It would be nice to just rotate but fif not see that as an option, I worked w the magic wand and had no luck javascript:emoticon(':('). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can create an angled "column" using the roof tool, but this workaround can be annoying for scheduling, etc.

So here is what I did. I created a truss then inlaid that onto my beam and that gave me the look I was after. A little cheating but works for now.

Steel structural elements have the parameters for Z rotation, cutting angles for the ends, and what not. Explore the parameter list a bit, it will pay off.
