many users are dissapointed by the progress of the last versions and thinking about switching from archicad to another cad software.

I've mentioned this before, but I think Nemetshek is doing a pretty good job of bringing Vectorworks into the BIM market as well. Another release or two and they should really be there.

Here and there, but not enough to say I'm an expert. I got VW 12 recently and was really stunned at how nice it was.

It's rendering capabilities are no where near what Lightworks can do, but its modeling and editing capabilities are really nice.

Of course, me being me, I really want to learn VectorScript and see how it compares to GDL (because I have so much free time......)

It's WAY cheap, too.

$1395 for a new "Architect" license. The price depends on on what package you buy, though. You can get civil, manufacturing, and advanced rendering add-ons for it as well.

$1395 only adds functionality to a base package which is $995

VW Architect really costs $2,390. Upgrades, expressed as a percentage of original SRP also are higher than AC

Wow, I guess my reseller liked me or something. That's still way less than the current $4250 for Archicad.

i dont think so, reseller will ask u that there is a special, if you have autocad or microstation, and it get to the point that if you have acrobat reader it will get to 3200 i think..i could be wrong
