Looks very good to me. AC16 squarely addresses core needs for us: Morphing tool, better 3D interaction, etc., especially when combined with the shell tool.

...and the inclusion of what-was EcoDesigner is a most welcome surprise.

I like The Morph'up* tool ( this is a tool that seems so natural to the way Archicad Handle modifications ) ...

One question though :
If I've understood correctly, the Morph tool is mainly for object creation ( for massing eventually) but can we affect a thikness or transform the geometry created by the morph tool to bim elements ( shell, wall, slabs, curtain walls ...etc) ?

What is needed on the modeling side now are Nurbs and an appropriate parametric panneling tool.

*In reference to Sketchup 😉

My mind is blown by the MORPH tool. Is this really ArchiCAD? Wow!

Any construction element type can be converted into a Morph element.
Or if it is a more complex geometry consisting of several pieces (like Windows/Doors, Library Parts) you can Explode it into Morph elements. The whole thing is very flexible.
It is not possible to convert a Morph element to other element types like Walls, Slabs etc. Any Morph element can be saved as a Library Part though.
For listing purposes a Morph element can be classified as other element types.

I think people will also like the http://bimcomponents.com web site and its integration with ArchiCAD when it goes live. It will be like the GDL Depository on steroids.

The more I watch the YouTube videos, the more apparent the fact that the morph tool effectively brings 'SketchUp' construction methods into AC - fantastic !

Just need to get a more powerful 'puter now to take full advantage of all this goodness !

I clicked on the link for "Archicad 16 system requirements" and it takes you to "Archicad 15 system requirements". I assume this will be updated soon? I was interested in the required OS for mac. Even AC15 shows only OS 10.6. What about 10.7 or the soon to be 10.8?
