ArchiCAD 19 - Update 4011 - Major Bug with node dragging

MMontgomery

Since the latest update I've been experiencing a bug in AC19 where when grabbing and dragging a node on an object, wall, or anything, it will instead start the dragging from the nearest gridsnap point - with gridsnap turned off. After 2 or 3 tries, it does finally grab the node correctly for editing.

Similarly, with a spline, when I grab one end of the spline to drag, Archicad instead grabs the node from the other end of the spline to drag. This also corrects itself after 2 or 3 attempts.

Obviously this makes it nearly impossible to make quick and accurate adjustments to items in the project and it's driving me nuts!

Anyone else experiencing this find a fix?

At this point ArchiCAD needs to issue an official downgrade from 4011 for those not using El Capitan (with it's own pile of bugs) or Windows 10 so that we can be productive until they can do proper quality control on the next update.
Here is the process to restore ARCHICAD to its initial build: If using Teamwork a similar process must happen on all workstations and the BIM Server computer as well. You will run the BIM Server installer and it will offer a Repair option, just like the ARCHICAD installer.

Thanks, I'd forgotten about that. A quick reminder is that that's the initial ArchiCAD 19 installer not the update.

In our case of working with Apple hardware we are also in a bit of a bind as the very latest iMacs can no longer be downgraded to OSX 10.10 Yosemite, we have decided to postpone new hardware purchases and hang on to AC18 until we are confident AC19 runs smoothly on OSX 10.11 El Capitan.
I don't know the purchasing options in Australia, but I have recently bought a MacBook Pro and iMac from Apple, both originally released in late 2014. I was also concerned about running OSX10.11, so the Apple rep suggested buying refurbished Macs, which ship with the OS that was current when originally released. So both machines came with OS X 10.10, which will run ArchiCAD back to version 10. They came with the one year warrantee, similar specs to the current models, and were less expensive. Try going to your local Apple web store and searching for "Refurbished". If you don't find the model and specs you want one day, check back as the models available changes day to day.

I would add :
- the imposibility to dimension the height of doors in just one step (before was just clicking on the door edges, now is dimensioning over and over again, until it decides to give you the height as well),
- random dimensioning of objects ('close but not close enough' type)
- the new and improved dimensions actually cause the majority of frustrations in our office.
- the lag in teamwork operations (after requesting an element, before receiving the grant permission notice),
- the lag in plan views if you have the 3D Cutaway active,
- the aforementioned dragging of lines and walls

That is very good to know, I just replied to a PM from Akos but he did not mention that it was already a known issue. Great news indeed.

To answer schagemann's query:
I'm using ArchiCAD 19 Build 4011 on an iMac (Late 2009 and 2015 Retina) running El Capitan 10.11.1.

We have this bug on build 3003 and 4011 machines but interestingly, can't recreate on one machine that's on build 3003. Weird.
