Will AC23 have Radeon ProRender (which has been integrated in Cinema4D since R19)?

Seen the weak support of 3rd party render engines, that would be a very welcome nice-to-have!

Twinmotion is now free till November 2019, it has a free ARCHICAD Connection using which you can quickly and easily transfer your model to Twinmotion, and it is a GPU-based visualization software. You should check it out.

I downloaded it and it’s amazing.
So much quicker to render not to mention the animation (although a little cheesy) but the ease of use and real-time adjustments are a real joy. If you are not downloading this and taking advantage you are missing out.

I have Archicad Plus My Archicad and do not see where to download 23. Is it hidden somewhere? I am eligible for 23 and should have been notified by Graphisoft but have seen nothing. Please share the link.

Thanks,

He's referring to Twinmotion - not AC23, which has not yet been released. Probably wait for another month or two.

The experimental Python development is independent of the ARCHICAD release cycle, so you should expect Python-related announcements to be made when there are some developments on that front.

Not much here for smaller firms. The bulk of these "Major" upgrades are for larger architecture firms. Hopefully they have not announced everything added into AC 23 and these are just the major bullet points aimed at appeasing larger practices! It's clear that we should only expect small incremental improvements since GS has fully adopted a yearly release cycle. That said, based solely on the announced new features, buying the yearly maintenance contract seems like a pretty poor value at this point, especially for small to medium sized firms who cannot take advantage of volume pricing.
I must agree with rm on this case.
Ah the performance improvements. In each version there is the same statement. It will be probably well presented how fast it is at the event, but our real projects are a different case.
I am really happy that AC23 has green lights for the launch and has improvements. But to be honest with you I must weigh the improvements vs. time spent in upgrading our office standard in our office for the new stuff. Especially the template is not just a copy paste thing, but a laborious task. So currently I am not really "on fire" wanting to upgrade from 22 to 23.
BTW there is nothing written about the certification of IFC4?!?!?

I am waiting to hear the first results from the users about the improvements.

Definitely a goal of being at the forefront of digital information interoperability. Whilst seemingly at the expense of modelling improvements for the smaller practices & sole practitioners, it is a wise move by Graphisoft: ArchiCAD must be as useful to as many people - directly & indirectly - as possible in order to hold its own against the behemoths of Revit & Bentley.

Whilst there is perhaps little to enthuse the smaller users amongst us, I would like to point out the excellent support from Graphisoft (UK) via the UAS subscription: A very beneficial service when needed, before taking into account the annual upgrade in AC.
