ArchiCAD - framing

Hello!

Is there any possibilities to make fast projecting in wall framing in archicad. I am using objest elements, like post, block inclined and other, but it's going very slowly, and there is no possibilities to make some standart joing elements.

Can you help me with this option?

One is using Ralph Wessel´s Encina FrameWright.

I have a framing assembly for windows and doors that I use for framing. Studs of course are very fast to just multiply.

My assembly has header, trimmer, king studs and cripples.
It is fast enough for me to just move these into place and stretch the header.
There are typically quite a few openings the same size so it's not much trouble to copy a set to another opening.

I find this to be faster than trying to configure a wall for automatic framing which I have to tweak anyway.

Like everything, it may depend on how you intend to set up you schedules.

I think FrameWright is for timber framing not stick framing. For studs or light gauge steel Cadimage has a good add on for this (though the set up is a bit tricky).

Yes, FrameWright is targeting heavy structural framing - I've attached some images to illustrate.
