Archicad layer playing up, dissapearing or changing name

I am working on a PLN that is a few years old. The Archicad layer is playing up.
I have tracked the problem to the favorites pallette where a layer, that does not exist in my attribute manager, keeps popping up within the saved favorites and making my Archicad layer inaccessible. Or in some processes completely disappear.

I cannot seem to purge the favorites of this problem.
And it is quite difficult to work around when placing layouts on sheets.

Has anyone encountered this issue and found a way to rectify it?

I assume you have tried redefining the favorites.

Can you get the file working properly? If so you might try deleting the favorites and see if the problem recurs without them. If not you may just need to recreate them. It would be great to have a "Favorites Manager" for stuff like this.

I think that's what i'll have to do.

It's bummer that the favorites doesn't have a manager. This is quite tedious. I used to think that the attribute manager would control layers. and that if an element lost it's layer then it would be listed as "missing".

But this is not always the case. In this case my old favorite are overiding my layers.
