Back referencing on detail markers....

I've had a look through the more detailed pdf doc (below) on ArchiCAD 10's new features and I can't find anything regarding back referencing on detail markers or sections.....does anyone know (maybe a beta tester) if this has been implemented in the new version????

What do you mean by back referencing?

I know what you mean - tracking both ways from the detail in a layout (to reference back to its source view in the papertrail).

This has not been addressed - it is extremely painful to set this up - possible - but painful, we tried and gave up, it is faster to append the refs manually than to set up for automatic tracking...

I should've guessed. I've heard of the practice but haven't worked on anything that called for it. I'm sure if I did need to do it I would sure want it to be automatic. How common is the need for this? It seems to be rare to non-existent in US practice.

Unfortunately quite common at our practice and a big pain in the.....neck and yes i've been hoping for this to get automated for quite a while.

I know it has been a requirement of the US Corps of Engineers for quite a while -- and our office has recently adopted it as a standard (as requested by those that do the majority of our Construction Administration) -- LJY.

could those new parametric drawing titles possibly handle this?

Possibly, I'll try to find some time to look into it (though I'm not supposed to say anything until 10 ships). I suspect that it will take a little more tinkering on GS' part (some new globals) before it will be possible though.

In theory they could, but they do not. The parametric drawing titles are just Title Types with a face lift added to object capabilities.
