Sorry, I have no idea about Mac keyboards and didn't even realise they don't have a backspace key.
From what I just Googled, you have a 'Delete' key that acts as a backspace?
I am not quite sure how you perform a forward or backward delete when typing text then.
But I assume it undoes the last placed node when entering a polygon.
I guess my bad joke really is bad for all the Mac users out there.

It is the button on your keyboard that says "BACKSPACE".
Sorry, bad joke. 🤣
Do you mean what the backspace button does?
When modelling a polygonal element, it will remove the last placed node.
When typing text, it will remove the last character.
If you have something selected on screen, it will delete it.

I'm using a Mac, and there is no BACKSPACE button on the keyboard😊 . I exactly want to remove only the last node. The escape button delete all the things.
