When I merge my autocad drawing to an archicad project, the scale are different. How can I put both at the same scale?
Thanks

Bitoque,
This is a common problem at least for me.
The way I handle it is to find some known
dimension in the imported file, like the width
of a door, or a stated dimension and then
measure it and record this measurement.
Calculate the ratio between the stated value
and the measured value and then select everything
in the imported file and "Resize" everything by the
calculated ratio. Note when the resize dialogue comes up
there is an option to "Resize all text entities" make sure
to un-check this option.

Thanks, for the help. I will try it.

There is one thing I failed to mention about "Resize".
You must "Suspend Groups" for "Resize" to work.

When you merge, you'll get to a "drawing placement" screen.

Click the translator settings button and adjust the "DRAWING UNITS".

I use "1 inch" for architectural drawings and "1 foot" for civil drawings.

I'm sure it's somewhat simular for metric units?? You may have to experiment.

Good luck

PS
Try "XREF"ing instead of merge?

You should know what scale the AutoCAD drawing was made for, and what were the AutoCAD units. There, you do not work in real world units, but arbitrary "units".

If you don't know, import it once, and see. If a door is 900 wide, then it is made for mm. Set your units to mm, set the scale right, and import it again.

I would not go for the resize way, rather would ask the person who sent the DWG the units and the scale question.
