Can I save a marquee area

so I can come back to it later? For instance, can I save a marquee clipping a certain area for a 3d view? The selectrion set pallette doesn't really work for this, does it?

No, but saving the 3D view does.

One thing you can do in plan is draw empty fills or closed polylines on a reference layer and space bar click the marquee to the one you want.
