Can't see separator lines of composite walls in section.

I see the separator lines in plan view but not in section.
When I select the wall in section I can see where the lines should be.
Why don't all the separator lines show up?

Hello Steve,

Have you checked option as per
Skin separator line option available in the Composite attribute dialog box, it must be checked to show skin separator line as per need.

I am not able to attach explanatory image.

The option for Skin separator line (off/on/type etc) only shows up after you select one of the line options.
I think I have the settings right but I am not seeing all the lines.

Any chance, Steve, that when you are opening your section that you are opening a VIEW and not a viewpoint.... and that your view has different Model View Options - notably the one attached, where cut fills can be overridden and skin separator lines can be omitted?

Good idea... but that setting is global - if unchecked, the separator line will never show up. So, this cannot be the issue for Steve, since things look correct in 2D for him.

Model View Options gives per-view control. (As an aside that doesn't apply here: pen settings can give a finer grain control by switching certain skins to thin white pens ... but the thin white line can look weird with most background fills.)

Will be interesting to see if Steve's issue is an MVO setting... (see last post/screenshot)...

I can not select Show Skin Separator Lines in MVO with out using overrides which I don't think will help anyway. The lines are showing up are at the center core and the outside. Why the other lines don't show up in section is what I can't figure out.

walls look fine in plan view

Just to see what would happen I changed the MVO to Override Cut Fills with Show Skin Separator Lines checked and all it does is hide the fills. All of the lines are still not showing up in my section view.

The lines that are missing are for where the 1/2" drywall is on the inside of the ICF and I also have a line at 1" outside the ICF to show for siding.

It will be faster to draw them in that figure it out.

Ah. The zoomed view helps. Any chance you have the Partial Structure Display filter set to "Without Finishes" for your section view?

I checked that too. I can't find any reason why the lines don't show up.

I give up. The detail will be so full of added fills anyway that it wont make any difference. It's just annoying.

Steve,
as you are using the same fill for different skins, in section the rule is : same fill=merge.
If you want to separate them in section just duplicate the original fill and use alternatively for example empty_fill/empty_fill1/empty_fill/empty_fill1 etc
In plan view the rule is not the same all skins show and never merge except if you set them accordingly.
Some like this subtle difference, some don't
