Cannot select fills with mouse over middle of the fill

Hello,

I have been working in ArchiCAD for awhile now and this is the first time this has happened and I cannot figure out how to get it back to normal!

I cannot select fills or text or leader text from the middle. I HAVE to have my mouse over the edge of the object. Even then the tab select doesn't always get everything. Is there a way to fix this? I also cannot edit text? I can't double click to get into the editing text box. Same for leader text. I have to delete it and draw an entire new text box. Any ideas how to fix this? It is really bringing my productivity down? Thanks,

Lorne

Did your snap grid accidentally get turned on?

Nope I just checked. Grid Snap did not get turned on. I tried to turn it on then off. Still no dice. Any other ideas?

Just use the Quick Select as marc suggested.
Also when in the arrow tool the space bar acts as a toggle for Quick Select.
So if it is off the space bar temporarily turns it on while you press it and if it is on the space bar will turn it off temporarily.

There was no need to delete your text either.
Once selected activate the text tool and then click on the text to edit it.
Or have the text tool active before you select but hold the Shift key to select the text then let go of shift and click on the text to edit.

In V10 the quick select magnet is much better as you can just double click the text to edit it.
Just hold space bar and double click if quick select is off (you must be in the arrow too to use quick select).
