this is my first time trying to create a canted wall, how do i give a height.
i look under the parameters but i did not see a setting to give the wall a height, i did see setting for defining the angle of the wall and its thickness.

It depends on where you are looking.
In the Info Box, there are settings for Bottom of Wall and Top of Wall.
In the Wall Settings Menu, there are settings for Bottom of Wall and Height of Wall.

And in 3D window you can stretch the wall, using the pet palette, either vertically or to follow the existing angle.
