I have the same texture on my walls and on my ceiling, but when I render the ceiling just shows up pure black with no texture, the walls on the other hand are well lit and show the correct texture. I have artificial lights in the room and they are right next to the ceiling, but it still won't register any light input. It doesn't matter what texture I put on the ceiling, it simply won't show up as anything other than black.
