How do i change the heights of the contour lines?

I drew splines as cut lines, then clicked the magic wand on them but i cant find anything where it specifies the height.

The training guide says "change the heights of the contour lines"....not much help there

Thanks s2art! I tried doing it with just one mesh, and it works!

Just one other thing: When I enter 3D mode, a message is warning me that i've created a invalid mesh. How do I correct this, if I don't know where the mistake where made?

The perimeter outline of a mesh and any holes you've created are usually at fault for this for this kind of problem. Maybe zoom in on each node and look for intersecting lines?

It's always a good idea to carefully create the perimeter of the mesh point by point, rather than using the magic wand on a set of guidelines that may have hidden problems. Interior surface contours, on the other hand can accept a lot of screwiness without crashing the mesh.
