Create composite error

When I open the composite attribute window on selected jobs the preview window has all the separating lines as "true weight" (see image) despite the view option for true weight not being selected.

This causes issues as you then cannot see the preview properly and have to the guess at things.

What Archicad version and what operating system are you using?
It is best to add this info to the signature in your profile (link at the top of the screen).
Then the info will be there in every post you make.

Do you have the latest hotfix installed?

Latest hotfix is installed. See below for system/ archiCAD version (previously forgot to tick the attach signature button).

Is that the actual screen capture or have you added the fat pink, red and orange lines in photoshop for effect? My composite preview window does not show true line weight no matter what my on screen option is set to.

That is an actual screen grab. More worryingly if I open other files the preview appears differently. Unfortunately, the file that the screen grab is from is a company standard template that has had alot of hours trying to get just right.

My Composite Structures preview always shows True Line Weight regardless of the TLW setting. The line weights in tlodge's example are extremely wide, I would guess around 15 point (5.3 mm) for the middle red line.

The line weight of the middle red line as shown in the image is 0.18mm, pink is 0.25mm and overall composite tickness is 27.5mm. Weights of line are the same no matter what line weight is given, overall composite thickness is or seemingly any other setting I can think of.

Then I don't know where the problem is. The only way I can get something like your screen shot is with very wide line widths. What you show looks like a bug with your system or file.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.

Mine definitely shows lines as hairlines no matter what. Tried changing view scale (1:1 to 1:1000), TLW on and off, thin composites, thick lines - no change for me. Always hairlines. How bizarre, how bizarre.

It may be a graphics card issue on tlodge's computer.
I would try to upgrade to the latest drivers to see if that helps any.
