Creating a Corrguate Iron wall Profile

Hi there,

I would like to know how to make a wall that looks like corrugate sheet that I can apply as a wall in ArchiCAD

This is what I have in plan but it is currently a morph - so a large file and I'd like it to be an adjustable wall/ object that I can use easily across multiple projects.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Hi,

You can either:

- use the default object from the library and manually "clad" an existing wall with it. I think it is named steel sheet, profiled sheet or something like that.

- use wall accessories tool and find a wall cladding that fits your description. that way, after you have all your openings in place, the sheet cladding will follow that contour.

- use a texture (2D image). It won't show up as nicely in 3D or in the floor plan but depending on your scope, it might be a  viable solution, especially since it is the least taxing on your PC.

You could use a custom linetype in conjunction with the texture. Not sure how the alignment would work though...

You might also try the Curtain Wall tool. Create a Profile that models a single wave of the corrugated sheet, and create a scheme for the Curtain Wall where there are only horizontal profiled frames and they will give you the full height of the wall. It is also possible to cut holes into the Curtain where Doors/Window need to be.
