Custom Background for 2d windows?

I’ve got a question.
In 3D studio Max, we can use an image (*.jpg, *.bmp, etc) as a background surface to “trace” (by hand, etc- not a programming thing) things like, say a car blueprint.

Is there a way to do this in ArchiCAD?

I’ve got some interesting hand-drawn plans without scales or dimensions exactly (they’re small drawings) and I want to put them as the background while I work.

I know I can open them in photoshop and dimension them a bit or even make them into a texture for Archicad (say, to put on a wall or slab) but is there a way in the 2d window to have this as the background?

I’m still searching the forums; just looking for a quick solution if someone already knows it….

Thanks!

The Figure Tool can import many common bit map file formats. Once imported, the image can be resized.
