Its seems to be more flexible, if you just create the wallhole alone and insert an extra curtainwall in the hole..

Only downside is that you can't schedule those along with the other windows. If you save them as windows, they will show up in schedule.

The schedule part is important yes and on top of this you can re-size the window a little bit to fit if needed. This won't work if you add the curtain wall separate into a wall hole, it then is a fixed size.
