Is there any easier way to cut a wall other than a roof
The roof tool is nice but i am never use roofs so when i want to cut a wall is hard for me to fit the roof on the precise position (length, angle)
Something like a cutplane

A roof can have zero thickness and can be used to trim a wall to roof
but if it has zero thickness it will not work as an operator in a SEO.

View the wall in 3D. Activate roof tool, single plane. Click on the two bottom ends of the wall, and one top. That will make a transparent triangle - that is your roof plane. Now click on four points to define the roof plane. Done.

The roof plane should be on "Cutter" or similar layer that should be hidden in all but the working layer combos.

Clear as mud? 😉
Good tip, Djordje. I was not even aware you could define a roof pitch in this way. I thought you had to calculate the angle and put it in the settings manually. Very good to know, thanks.

Miker - if you use this Djordje's method it doesn't matter how thick you make the roof, (especially if you "subtract with upwards extrusion") just make sure the layer it is on is turned off after you have completed your SEO.
