Your library loading report pertains to the library parts loaded - not necessarily used.
The delete duplicates pertains to duplicates used in the model itself.
To get rid of your 1934 duplicates unload all your libraries then load the basic ones (e.g. ArchiCAD library 9) until there are no missing library parts.

Do you have the same problem afetr restarting AC9?
I don't know what's the problem, but 2 months ago I have problem like this:
I have deleted 24 columns from existing 42 and than have selected all columns on the floor plan. It was written that I still have 42. The problem was solved only after restarting AC.

'Delete duplicates' is supose to 'search and delete' duplicates on your file not on your lib.
For example same wall, with same layer, same color, same material in the same flor; etc.
For the duplicates in your library parts you need to treat them manually .
You can see this topic for more explanations.
Hope this Helps

I had a look at the post and followed Steve Jepson's example. Took me the best part of an hour on one project.
This is a 'hot topic' as far as I've concerned, because we are working on a lot of projects which started under Acad 7 and contain library parts from 7, 8 and 9.
Steve asks if there is a 'better way to purge duplicate library parts without doing all this'.
It's a good question!

On the US tech support site
http://tr.graphisoftus.com/
there are downloadable pla versions of older libraries AC libraries ( 6.5, 7, 8.1 and
. These allow you to load these older libraries at the same time as the current AC9 library without getting the thousands of duplicates in the load library dialogue.
Very useful.
