Different dimention units for detail drawings ?!

I need to trick AC to use different dimension units for Floorplans and Detail drawings?

I my country we usually dimension floorplans and sections in centimeters, but use millimeters dor detail drawings. Millimeters are obligatory for metallic structures and details.

Now, when I have to draw a detail of the glass and steel railing of a stair, I open a new file with mm dimensioning, which pretty much makes Detail Tool obsolete!

Any ideas?

Don't Views store the unit settings as well?

I've used that to change the rounding before, but never triec changing the actual units.

Great idea, Tom! It is possible to change dim. units in Different Views.

I have to admit I've never used Views before. Starting to play with them ...
