Dimension strings will not move out.

I have the latest update in AC10.
I am trying to move the dimension string away from a detail in a detail window and the only thing that happens is that the leader line to the dimension point on the detail gets smaller.
Any ideas? Any one have the same problem?

It'll do that if the Dimension tool is active.
Try the same sequence with the Arrow tool selected.

I guess its just another option I didn't know about to adjust the leader lines.
