Display fill on composite walls

Hello
I understand a simple 2D cover fill you can easy go and re align the pattern.  How does this work if you apply the pattern to a wall.

My steps to make the pattern where the following:
1-draw out pattern using lines  and hotpots

2-take existing brick fill, duplicate copy paste new pattern

3-take existing surface, duplicate, apply new new cover fill pattern, remove texture image (for now)

4-take existing building material, duplicate, apply new surface pattern

5-creat new wall composition and use the new brick material

it displays correctly with the pattern, just the alignment is off.
I either took a really long way to do get this result, misted a step, or there is simpler solution.
😕

Might be helpful to include a screen shot of your current view and what you want to see.  In any case, there are options for fill pattern origin and orientation.  There are also GORs to override your composite materials if you have a view requiring a custom cover or cut fill.

Hello Marc,
Sorry picture would have been great.

I'm working on an existing building and need to match up the brick pattern. The attached image is my elevation, the hatch on the wall is off and the red rectangles was me laying out the bricks at the start. just need to realign it. I though of just placing a cover fill and aligning that but that would be tedious and probably wont read correct with shadows.
